Is energy absolute or relative? and Casimir’s negative energy density

Negative energy density arises in the Casimir effect between parallel uncharged plates in quantum field theory when the energy of vacuum at infinity is set to zero. But how does this negative energy gravitate, if it does at all? Which is the energy of the vacuum? Is gravity sensitive to absolute or relative energy? What does this experiment tell us about the nature of gravity and about scale invariance in gravitational models?

On Regular Negative Mass Black Holes Under Unitary Time and Proper Antichronous Transformations

A non-singular black hole solution is presented which violates energy conditions only at its interior by postulating a shift to negative energies and antigravitational negative masses at the event horizon, respecting Einstein’s equivalence principle and avoiding the runaway motion paradox. This shift is the unitary parity-time transformation of relativistic quantum mechanics and the proper antichronous transformation of the full Lorentz group.

Does antimatter fall down? and negative mass

On 27 September 2023, physicists at the ALPHA experiment in CERN reported studies which supported the notion that antimatter particles behave in a similar way as normal matter in a gravitational field, by testing antihydrogen. After weakening the magnetic fields at the top and bottom of the container where antimatter is trapped, most of them were detected at the bottom, ruling out a possible repulsive gravitational interaction of the Earth and antimatter atoms. But why was antimatter suspected to have a repulsive gravitational interaction?
