2027 Award on Essays on gravitation
The Independent Physics community will organize a yearly competition for short essays on theoretical gravitation.

For the first year of the competition, a single prize of minimum €250,00 will be awarded to the best essay.
The aim of the competition is to encourage new ideas in the field of theoretical gravitation, particularly those that differ from mainstream approaches. Only original, self-contained research will be considered, preferably written so as to be accessible to a wide audience.
The essay must be written in English, be no more than 10 pages long, and focus primarily on theoretical gravitation/cosmology. Multiple essays from the same author are permitted. AI-written essays are not allowed. A minimum of 10 essays from different authors must be received for a winner to be selected. Novelty, rigour, and creativity will be valued. The winning essay will be made available on the Independent Physics website at the author’s request. Submissions may have been published or made available online only from 2027 onwards. Works published or made available before 2027 will not be considered.
Submissions must be sent to the email address below as a single PDF file. Please notify us if you do not receive confirmation of your submission. The winner will be announced at the end of September 2027. The decision will be final, and a brief comment on the winning essay will be provided. You can also contribute to the total monetary prize by donating to Independent Physics.
